Here's an explanation of how I used the new Live Boolean system in ZBrush 4R8 to craft my final model for the scientific illustrations of my deer skull. I sculpted negative, internal Boolean shapes (the pink, yellow, cyan, and green meshes) to cut away not only the large cavities of the braincase and nasal sinus, but also the super-thin fissures in between each cranial bone. Live Booleans gave me the ability to non-destructively reconstruct the INSIDES of this specimen much more quickly than would have been possible with any previous version of ZBrush.
